Meet Our Journalists!

Emma Oriani is a Year 12 student who enjoys sharing her thoughts and experiences through her writing, often featured in The Soapbox section. In her free time, she likes driving around Charlotte and discovering new places to hang out with friends

Nieve Keady delights in creative writing and is a self-described film nerd in the making. Her ultimate goal is to find a way to bring novel writing, screenwriting, and directing all into one job. In addition, she’s a horror and animation enthusiast with an inclination toward the gothic.
Summer Liu is a high school student passionate about the STEAM fields, and aspires to be either a biomedical engineer or an ophthalmologist. Though she is not limited to the scientific subjects- as her pastimes include creating jewelry, oil painting, and constantly reading books of any and all genres.

Hii, I'm Lily Vega and one of my hobbies is collecting vinyl records. I do this because I love learning about art, especially music, so I dedicate time to understanding the history, culture, and love behind it.
As the co-head operations marketer of the company, Fraser Foakes’ role is to display the curated pieces of literature to the public. His interests are in football (the European type), archeology and the STEM subjects.

Sofia Leon takes pleasure in finding meaning in day-to-day life. She finds joy in creative writing, mindfulness activities, and acts of service. She aspires to publish her writing, but beyond that she desires to make an impact on the world.
Vir Munavalli is a high school student who enjoys learning about the history of the world. He aspires to be a corporate lawyer. His passions include reading, watching films, and traveling.

Alex Rager is a high school student who likes sports like football, basketball, etc. He also likes playing video games and driving. In the future, he wants to go to UNC Chapel Hill and pursue something space related.
Luciana Tapias is a high school student who enjoys Marvel, anime, and many other shows and movies. She likes playing tennis and loves reading comics. Although she’s not quite sure what she wants to do when she grows up, she plans on going to university for business.
